Students who are enrolled in UNIV 100, UNIV 101, SFY 101 and ENGR 101 in the fall 2011 semester were invited via email to complete the MAPWorks survey. This instrument asks students to self-report on about 20 areas of transition into college life. Based on their responses, a report is generated to let students know how they compare to last year’s group of SIUC first-year students.
Students may log in to obtain their reports. Instructors may log in to see their students’ reports.

Instructors may log into GradesFirst to record student attendance in courses. As a result, an email notification will be sent to students alerting them to the fact that an absence has been recorded. SImilary, there will be two times during the semester that we ask faculty to provide progress reports on students (weeks 5 and 10). The CLSS will follow up with students who have been marked as “at risk for failing the course.” Academic coaches will be available to help students with study skills and course content.
