GRE Test Prep

Main Content

The Graduate Records Exam is the most commonly required admission test for graduate school. Much like the SAT and ACT, the GRE exam is a broad assessment of your critical thinking, analytical writing, verbal reasoning, and quantitative reasoning skills. Visit the ETS webpage for details: click here

The GRE consists of 6 subtests:

  • Two “Quantitative Reasoning,” or, “Math” sections: 25 questions each.
  • Two “verbal reasoning” sections—vocabulary and reading comprehension: 20 questions each.
  • Two essays, in which you will have 30 minutes each to write two 5-paragraph essays based on the subject matter and directions provided.
Our fee-based one-to-one private tutoring covers 10 hours of either the Quantitative Reasoning, or Verbal Reasoning/Writing sections of the GRE. If you have other friends or classmates interested in tutoring, our group workshops also cover 10 hours of either the Quantitative Reasoning, or Verbal Reasoning/Writing section with 2-6 clients per workshop.
